Pretty Much Everything

So, here I am. After a week spent in my grandparents house, I'm here in my home again. But the most important thing is that I've been for week in Amsterdam. I enjoyed a lot the city, with the canals and all that architectural stuff. Really nice! I ate delicious food and drank lots of ice tea.

But the thing I enjoyed the most were the museums. Lots of museums! All the days we visited museums. In one day we visited four museums, and all of them had excellent artworks. The thing I was going to tell you is that we went to the Foam (Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam). I was like lets see if they have any Inez&Vinoodh photo! So when we got into the useum I saw: Inez&Vinoodh exhibition. I was like: what!? And that was all, in a few seconds I was surrounded by 300 Inez&Vinoodh photos. There were lots of photos I saw before, but there were also some that I didn't from the 90's and one of their son. I also loved the way that the photos were exposed. You know, in different sizes and without a chronological order.

The photos ar fromthe internet.

I have always imagines that paradise will be a kind of library

After re-reading my Pop magazine I looked at this editorial. The first time I saw it I felt indifferent, it didn't caught my atention. But after reading the Allen Jones' interview ( I have it in my hands right now, the magazine of course, not Mr. Jones) my opinion has changed. After reading fashion magazines for years, I realised that this is the kind of editorials that I prefer: original outfits (but not necessary complicated outfits)+ excellent photography+ original edition &(this is optional)mixed with art references, making your mind blow.
The editorial name is "Allen Jones: Wearable Art" as a reference of the fact that Devon Aoki is wearing some of his pieces as clothes(really inspiring). I think that the fact that the new Pop Editor- in- Chief (Dasha Zhukova) is becoming an important figure in the contemporany art world is normal that the magazine is full of art information. And that helps my interest in contemporary art just grows and grows.

So, what?

I'm totally into contemporany art, some people doesn't like because they say that it's a joke. Anyway I love art and any way of expression. So as you can predict today I'm going to talk about art. To be more specific about street art.
From years the graffiti has been seen as an act of vandalism, guys painting the walls. But sometimes life surprises us and we hear that a guy that is painting the walls all around the world and is owning more money that we can imagine.
So here is the plot of this post: art or vandalism?
This guy (Banksy- you must think that painting in the walls is considered for the authorities as vandalism, so nobody knows who is he) startes painting walls as many young boys, but instead of write his name with an stupid "gangsta" style (mostly of the times they could save us to see that rubbish), he painted with templates on the walls. He denounced the consumerism and the war with sarcasm and humor; that's why I like him and consider his work as art.
But while he is an anti-capitalist he is working for big companies and art galeries owning thousands and thousands, and he has got a shop mwe're he sells his products. On the other hand is cool and inspiring to see someone saying "Rules, whta the hell is that?"
So, what? Now you have to think with your pretty brain and decide: art or vandalism?

Here I put the trailer of a documentay about the man:

Lets do something artistic

V magazine is one of my favourite magazines, its editorials are really good and the stylisms are very original, I love how they put fashion and art together. Here I put one of my favourites, from this summer issue. I just want to go to the magazine section in the library and buy it.
I love this kind of editorials: good photography and original format. I love the fact that even that is a fashion editorial the clothes aren't the principal interest in this editorial. (photos via nf)
